After a good few heart stopping weeks without any work and a lot of sleepless nights I am finally back in the world of the working trucker.
Three days this week and three next is enough to keep the kids in school dinners and new shoes for the next few weeks at least.
Even though I've come to a juddering stop in the pride of the fleet ( not ) on the ring road in Northampton, I am confident I will still be employed to drive another one and hopefully a better one.
It's been an hour since I rang in and no sign of the rescue party yet but I'm confident that ill still be driver number 1 come Monday.
